My Blog to life

Hi my name is Carol, but for the focus of this blog I am going to call myself NovaGirlNow. I am a second semester student at Northern Virginia Community College.  So for my Blog I want to be able to go in depth on balancing school and volunteering as well as preparing for my future career in Criminal Justice. I want to look at how life can change at times for the good. As well as changing for the bad and how I choose to overcome those obstacles and changes.

I will talk about being an EMT, and what that includes as well as some lessons and things I have learned. What it is like to be in the second semester of College and trying my best to stay on the right track. I will talk about my goals in life. What I know I need to do in order to reach the goals. The important thing is to find time for yourself to do things that you enjoy. Never forgetting what others have done for you to be able to be free and enjoy your life and reach your goals. No matter how small or big they may be.

When looking at how life can change, sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad. Whether it changes the way you see something, think of it, or just how you live and appreciate life. I will look at how to overcome the rough times in your life and how you can learn from them and overcome them. You still can work your way to your goals.

I will talk about how the right decisions can help you in the long run. How knowing the right people and making good impressions is important. After all it is always good to show the best "You" you can. A little about me and what I plan to do to reach my goal career so I can continue to help others in the future.  I will talk about my family and having a social life and maybe talk about some key events that have happen in my life to shape me in who I am today.

I may add inspirational quotes every now and again to try to keep a smile and to help my readers remember to never ever give up. Your goal will be reached and all your dreams can come true too.

  1. I think this blog, a mix of personal experience and career goal-setting, will be quite engaging. However, you need to work on being specific and detailed to really capture our attention. Look, for example, at paragraphs 1-4. Other than the fact that your're an EMT, we don't see any specific details whatsoever. What do you *think* you need to know?

A good measure of your success would be to list what you know now and then what you learn through the course of the writing of this blog, comparing the two lists at the end of the semester. Readers are truly attracted to tangible content: sensory or other details, the sights and sounds of writing, the supporting foundation of any text are the facts. I would rather you didn't worry about inspirational quotes. Let your own writing, your exploring and your knowledge, drive you to write inspirationally. Don't rely on random quotes. Be the inspiration you seek!

  2. Thank you so much I appreciate your advise and will work it... I was not really sure how to work it and I wanted to try to make sure I have stuff to talk about later on.
