NovaGirlNow- So as the New Year begins. We are
having a new set of goals and things we want to accomplish during this year. Some are
big goals that will take time to achieve and some are goals that can be
achieved sooner. So this year what Goals do I have? Do I want to get in
shape? Get that dream job? Or is my goals something that I
want to overcome?
Goals are
a part of life and they help make life more interesting. They keep life
interesting, by giving you something to look forward too. Then once you reach
your goal the feeling of pride you get is amazing. So why don't I try to
tackle that job, I have been wanted to do for a while now and get it done? Or
what goal do you want to meet?
What is
stopping me? Some people can say it can be time, money, or maybe you just feel it’s the right time.
Well those are just excuses. If I really want to reach a goal the only thing
stopping me is myself. If it is time, then I know my life can get hectic and busy but
I also know that it is important to make time for yourself so that I can reach my goals.
There is
nothing that you can't achieve so don't you ever forget it. Trust me I should
know. Life has thrown many challenges. Which I have overcame, but if I was able too; then you most definitely
can too. No Goal is too big to handle if
you just break it up. If it’s to get into shape then find an exercise partner
or just go yourself a hour or two a day start at and then just get in the
routine. Then before I know it I can reach my goal as long as I push myself and motivate myself.
My Goal
this year was to find what career I want to go into in Criminal Justice. A career that I love and am able to help, many people by doing. To do
this I choose to break it down. First figure out what I like, figure out what
careers are in that huge field. Then figure out what interest me the most. If
I break the Goal up and I find the time then I can do it. I will keep you posted on how I am doing with
my goal. And I would like to know this New Year’s what goals do you want to
overcome? How can you make your goal into a smaller piece and easier to
achieve?
I think my comments in post 1 will work well here in post 2. The majority of this blog, while positive, feels like a "pump up" sermon for readers. Readers want to be inspired, I know I do! However--without specifics we just cannot be. For example, you mention that your goal this year was to find out what career in CJ you wanted. Well, what *was* that? You never tell us.
ReplyDeleteWork in smaller segments, perhaps. Instead of asking or posing too many questions about goals, just start with your narrative. Show examples...and let's build research based on what *you* specifically want to do. Readers will learn through anecdotal evidence whether you took a good path and had good resources. Then you become inspirational...
That is a very good point in me not putting down what my career goal is. In all truth my goal is to figure out what I want to do in Criminal Justice or for the rest of my life. I am still trying to figure that out.. I hope to have it figured out by the end of this year.
